Haapsalu scarf
In here people have had knowledge for ages how to make an exquisite handwork. Supposedly in 1902 the Russian czarina hold her birthday here in Haapsalu. Local people thought what would be a proper gift for her. After a discussion they decided to give her a gossamer scarf in a coconut shelve that covered the lady entirely when the scarf was detangled. The scarf was knitted with the softest fleece of the yeanlings back. Haapsalu scarf as a name is known also from that time.
